Doctor of Engineering (Water Resources Engineering)

Water resources engineering focuses on managing and optimizing water use, distribution, and conservation. Course was received from Ateneo de Davao University

2003 - 2005

Doctor of Philosophy (Technology Management)

The PhD in Technology Management at Cebu Technological University emphasizes innovation, research, and industry collaboration.

2000 - 2003

Master of Engineering (Civil Engineering)

Civil engineering involves designing, constructing, and maintaining infrastructure such as roads, bridges, buildings, and water systems. Thesis was about construction material.

2002-2016

Supervisor of Soils and Materials Testing Laboratory

Served as the head simultaneously with the Associate Dean and later as Director for R&E. Engagements include testing of construction materials and soil investigations.

2010-2012

Assistant Professor

There was successive evaluation in these years, the reason for fast promotion. The almost 10 years delayed evaluation finally arrived.

2016-2023

Vice President for Research and Extension

Handled the office with planning until 2020, whose office lead the formulation of the strategic plan 2016-2021 which paved the way to many firsts for SSU.

2014 - Present

Full Professor

Become a full professor in Civil Engineering in 2014, promoted to Professor VI in 2019, have qualified to become College/University Professor in 2020, submitted to interview in 2023 but failed to have it.

2012-2014

Associate Professor

There was a successive promotion to address previous delays in the NBC 461 implementation

2007-2016

Director for Research and Extension

Was instrumental in drafting together with the VP for R&E that time the R&E Roadmap for SSU; one of the pivotal plan that helped SSU overcome its infancy in R&E. The transformation process was challenging.

2004-2007

Associate Dean, College of Engineering

The Associate Dean of the College of Engineering oversees academic programs, faculty development, and student affairs to ensure excellence

1999-2010

Instructor

Stayed as instructor 1 for about 10 years, there were no NBC 461 in these years, and the opportunity to become Assistant Professor was not granted due to internal error

1997-1999

Field and Office Engineer

Before the tenure in the academe, 3 years of experiences in the field of construction and surveying served as the second industry experience in Cebu, Manila and Samar; the first industry experience was the on-the-job-training in Cebu.
